Today, the new daily crochet patternAmigurumi Angel Doll Free Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;

Materials
• 2mm crochet hook or any size you prefer
• I have used 4ply 100% cotton yarn. Cream, white, yellow, mustard/gold and black. (Length
of the doll is ~37cm or 15”)
• Tapestry and sewing needle
• Dress pins
• Scissors
• Makeup: pink or red blush and a small brush
• Stuffing (fiberfill, polyfill, etc.)

(You could insert a hot glue stick inside the neck to hold the doll’s head. I include
instructions later on how to insert the glue stick. This would not be suitable if the doll is intended for younger children.)

Abbreviations
st – stitch
ch – chain
mc – magic circle

BLO – back loops only
FLO – front loops only
CHC – change color
(…) x n – sequence in the brackets you
have to repeat n times

Useful Tips
• All amigurumi toys are crocheted with tight stitches. Avoid small holes. If there are any holes through which stuffing material can be seen, use a smaller size hook. (Use a smaller hook size than is recommended on the label of the yarn.)
• To avoid seams, all rounds are worked in acontinuous spiral. Do not join or turn it unless otherwise instructed.
• Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the last stitch of every round.
• Stuff your amigurumi as you go. It is very hard to stuff the detail evenly when it is
almost finished. While stuffing do not forget to shape the body parts to give them a nice accurate shape. Be careful; do not over stuff them.

Stuff the head as you crochet. Sl. Cut the yarn. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Sew the Head to the Body. I am using a hot glue stick to support the head. (It is not suitable if the doll is intended for younger children.) I made space with a pen for the hot glue stick. I pushed it down till the bottom and cut the upper part leaving 5-6cm from the neck.

Eyes

Count from the last row back 13 lines. The eye has to be 6 stitches long and 2 stitches high.
Pull out your needle of 1, insert in 2, out from 3 and insert it again in 2, pull out in 4 and insert in 3.
After inserting your needle in 3, pull out 5, insert it in 4, pull out in 6, insert it in 7, pull out in 8, and insert in 3. Sew the other eye 10 stitches distance. Sew the head to the body.

Shoulder of the dress:

R34 FLO: Turn your doll upside down and with white yarn crochet sl around, when you reach the arm, ch8 and continue with sl. If you want to make a nice ruffle, crochet 3hdc around each slip stitches and chains. Change color for mustard and crochet a sl each BLO.

Skirt

Turn the doll upside down to crochet the Skirt. Work on R15 FLO of the Body (see picture below).
Use white yarn.

When you made your last stitch, crochet a sl. Do not cut the yarn, continue with the first layer hair strands.

Hair Strands (first layer)

Hair Strand 1-13 (13pieces):
Ch100, start to crochet hdc in the 3
rd chain from the hook: 74hdc and 24dc, skip 1st on the wig and sl,
Cut the yarn and finish it off.

Hair Strands (second layer)

Hair Strands onto R5’s BLO, (12pieces):

Ch100, start to crochet hdc in the 3rd chain from the hook, skip 1st on the BLO: 98 hdc and sl.

Hair Strands onto R3’s BLO, (11 pieces):
Ch100, start to crochet hdc in the 3rd chain from the hook, no skipping stitch on the BLO: 98hdc and sl.

Start to crochet the hair strand into the furthest front loop from the magic circle and work around R5 and R3 BLOs. To achieve nice curl, crochet through one loop of the chain only.

Pin the Hair onto the Head. Place the 2 magic circles on each other. (Tie the second layer hair strand up, easier to work on the Head.)

Pin the first layer of hair strands (1-13) onto the Head, close to each other.
Sew the wig first, using the base of the hair, by R6s´circle. After the hair strands 1-13. (You can use fabric glue if you do not like to sew.)

Style the Hair
Left side:
Lift up R3´s hair strands and place them on the right side After R5´s hair strands from the front place to the right side. If the hair is too curly pull them down a little.

Wing

Sl, cut the yarn and close the hole. Make two wings

Place one wing on the other, see the photo above. Sew them together. Pin the wings onto the back of the doll and sew them to the back. The hair will give an extra support to the wings both sides.

Straps of the shoes
Use the mustard color yarn and ch9 and sew the straps onto the shoes.

Cheeks
Use a little brush and pink or red blush to paint the cheeks.

Halo
Ch86 or how ever many stitches you need to go around the head. Then sl in all stitches.
