Today, the new daily crochet pattern Amigurumi Princess Bear Free Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;

ABBREVIATIONS
A, B, C, D, E, and F = Color A, B, C, D, E, and F;
ch = chain;
dc = double crochet;
hdc = half double crochet;
sc = single crochet;
st(s) = stitch (es);
tr = treble crochet;
[] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified;
*= repeat whatever follows the * as indicated.

Doll measures 12″ (30.4 cm) tall.


Notes
1.Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tightly so stuffing will not show between stitches.
2.To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Fasten off old color.
3.Use photograph as a guide for placement of pieces to be sewn together.

Special Stitches
join with sc = Place a slip knot on hook, insert hook in indicated stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook.
sc2tog = [Draw up a loop in next st] twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

HEAD
Beginning at nose with A, ch 2.
Round 1 (right side): Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook—6 sc. Do not join, work in continuous rounds (spirals). Place a marker for beginning of round. Move marker up as each round is completed. Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around—12 sc.
Round 3: [Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6 times—18 sc.
Rounds 4–7: Sc in each sc around.
Round 8: [Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6 times—24 sc.
Round 9: Sc in each sc around.
Round 10: Sc in next 9 sc, 2 sc in each of next 6 sc, sc in last 9 sc—30 sc.
Rounds 11 and 12: Sc in each sc around.
Round 13: [Sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6 times—36 sc.
Rounds 14 and 15: Sc in each sc around.
Round 16: [Sc in next 4 sc, sc2tog] 6 times—30 sc.
Round 17: Sc in each sc around.
Round 18: [Sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog] 6 times—24 sc.
Round 19: [Sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog] 6 times—18 sc.
Round 20: [Sc in next sc, sc2tog] 6 times—12 sc. Stuff head.
Round 21: Sc in each sc around. Round 22: [Sc2tog] 6 times—6 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through the stitches of last round and pull to gather. Weave in end securely. Facial Features: With F, embroider satin stitch eyes and nose, and straight stitch mouth.

EAR (make 2)
With A, ch 2.
Rounds 1 and 2: Work same as Rounds 1 and 2 of head—12 sc. Round 3: Sc in each sc around.
Round 4: [Sc in next sc, sc2tog] 4 times—8 sc. Fasten off. Do not stuff ear. Flatten and sew ears to head.

BODY
Beginning at top with A, ch 6; taking care not to twist ch, join with slip st in first ch to form a ring.
Round 1 (right side): Ch 1, 2 sc in each ch around—12 sc. Do not join, work in continuous rounds (spirals). Place a marker for beginning of round. Move marker up as each round is completed. Round 2: [Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6 times—18 sc.
Round 3: [Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6 times—24 sc.
Round 4: Sc in each sc around.
Round 5: [Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6 times—30 sc.
Round 6: Sc in each sc around.
Round 7: [Sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6 times; change to B in last st—36 sc.
Rounds 8-18: With B, sc in each sc around. Begin stuffing body and continue to stuff until piece is complete.

Divide for Legs
First Leg

Round 19: With B, sc in next 18 sc, place a marker in the next st; leave the marked st and all remaining sts unworked—18 sc. Work in continuous rounds over the 18 sc just worked only, forming a circle for the first leg.
Round 20: Sc in each sc around. Round 21: Sc in each sc around; change to A in last st.
Rounds 22–30: With A, sc in each sc around.
Shape foot
Round 31: Work 2 sc in each of first 3 sc, sc in next 12 sc, 2 sc in each of last 3 sc—24 sc.
Rounds 32–35: Sc in each sc around.
Round 36: [Sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog] 6 times—18 sc. Stuff leg.
Round 37: [Sc in next sc, sc2tog] 6 times—12 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through the stitches of last round and pull to gather. Weave in end securely.
Second Leg
With right side facing, join B with sc in marked st following first leg. Round 19: Sc in each remaining unworked st following first leg. Round 20: Sc in each sc around.
Round 21: Sc in each sc around; change to A in last st.
Rounds 22–30: With A, sc in each sc around.
Shape foot
Round 31: Sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in each of next 6 sc, sc in last 7 sc—24 sc.
Rounds 32–37: Work same as Rounds 32–37 of first leg—12 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through the stitches of last round and pull to gather. Weave in end securely. Sew head to top of body.

ARM (make 2)
With A, ch 2.
Rounds 1 and 2: Work same as Rounds 1 and 2 of head—12 sc. Rounds 3–5: Sc in each sc around.
Round 6: [Sc2tog] twice, sc in remaining 8 sc—10 sc.
Rounds 7–16: Sc in each sc around. Fasten off. Stuff arms and sew to body.

CROWN
With E, ch 32.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 9 ch, *slip st in next ch; ch 4, working in ch-4 just made, slip st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch; working in foundation ch, skip next 2 ch, slip st in next ch; ch 5, working in ch-5 just made, slip st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch; working in foundation ch, skip next 3 ch, slip st in next ch; ch 4, working in ch-4 just made, slip st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch; working in foundation ch, skip next 2 ch, sc in each remaining ch across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew ends of crown together and place crown on head in front of ears. If desired, sew crown permanently in place.

TOP RUFFLE
With D, ch 25.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across, turn—24 sc.
Row 2: Ch 2, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in first sc, *skip next sc, slip st in next sc, ch 2, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next sc; repeat from * to last 2 sc, skip next sc, slip st in last sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew ruffle around neck of bear.

FLOWER
With C, ch 2.
Round 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook—6 sc. Do not join, work in continuous rounds (spirals).
Round 2: Working in back loops only, slip st in first sc, *ch 2, hdc in 2nd ch from hook (petal made), slip st in next sc; repeat from * around—6 petals. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew flower in place at center of top ruffle.

SKIRT
Beginning at waist, with C, ch 37.
Row 1 (right side): Dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped ch count as first dc), 2 dc in each remaining ch across, turn—68 dc.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), working in front loops only, dc in each dc across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, working in back loops only, dc in each dc across, turn. Rows 4 and 5: Repeat Rows 2 and 3.
Row 6: Ch 3, working in front loops only, dc in each dc across and change to D in last st, turn.
Row 7: With D, ch 4 (counts as first tr), tr in first dc, *ch 1, 2 tr in next dc; repeat from * across working last 2 tr in top of beginning ch-3, turn.
Row 8: Ch 3, dc in each tr and ch-1 space across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Pink Scallops: Hold skirt with lower edge (Row 8) at top and with right side facing you. Working in the unworked loops of Row 5, join C with sc in first unworked loop, *skip next 2 loops, 7 tr in next loop, skip next 2 loops, sc in next loop; repeat from * across. Fasten off. Green Frill: Hold skirt with waist (Row 1) at top and with right side facing you. Working in the unworked loops of Row 4, join D with slip st in first unworked loop, *dc in next loop, slip st in next loop; repeat from * across. Fasten off.
Waistband: Hold skirt with waist (Row 1) at top and right side facing you. With B, ch 25 (for first tie), working in opposite side of foundation ch at top of skirt, sc in first 2 ch, sc2tog, *sc in next 3 ch, sc2tog; repeat from * across, ch 25 (for 2nd tie). Fasten off.
Sew lower half of side edges of skirt together for back seam, leaving top half of side edges unsewn so that skirt is removable. Use the ties to tie skirt around waist of bear. Alternately, the skirt can be permanently sewn to waist.

FINISHING
Weave in any remaining ends.
