Today, the new daily crochet pattern Amigurumi Christmas Angel Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;

Materials:

  • 2.5 mm hook
  • Cotton yarn
    I used Schachenmayr Catania “Original”:
  • cream (130), brown (437), white (106),
    beige (263), yellow (208), light blue (173)
  • Brown and back embroidery thread
  • Stuffing
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch marker
    I used the black thread

The toy is approximately 11 cm height. It may
vary though depending on the kind of yarn and
hook size used.
You can also use any color of yarn.
Feel free to add accessories to your very own
mini Angel toy.

Abbreviations:

  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • st/sts – stitch/stitches
  • inc – increase
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • dec – decrease
  • slst – slip stitch
  • BLO – use the back loop only
  • FLO – use the front loop only

BODY

Use cream (130) yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring, slst in first st [6]
Rnd 2: ch 1, (inc) x6, slst in first st [12]
Rnd 3: ch 1, (inc, sc) x6, slst in first st [18]
Rnd 4: ch 1, (2 sc, inc) x6, slst in first st [24]
Rnd 5: ch 1, (inc, 3 sc) x6, slst in first st [30]
Rnd 6: ch 1, BLO (use only back loops): 30
sc, slst in first st [30]
Rnd 7: ch 1, 30 sc, change the yarn to yellow
(fig 4, 5), and don’t cut the cream, slst in first
st [30]
To make the standing position of the Angel:
Lay your crochet oval on the cardboard,
underline around with pencil and cut an
oval 2 mm smaller than the crocheted one.
Put it inside after round 10 (fig 1, 2 and 3).

Continue to crochet the body:
Rnd 8: ch 1, 30 sc, change the yarn to
cream, slst in first st [30]
Rnd 9: ch 1, 30 sc, change the yarn to
yellow, slst in first st [30]
Rnd 10: ch 1, (sc in next st, sc in next st of
previous round) x15 (fig 6, 7), change the
yarn to cream, slst in first st [30]
Cut the yellow yarn

Edging: lay the body so that the bottom will
be on the top and facing away. Find the last
front loop of round 6. Insert your hook in
this loop (fig 8), pick up the yarn and pull it
through (fig 9). Make a slst in each front
loop of this round (fig 10, 11).
•make a slip stitch loosely.
Invisible fasten off (fig 12, 13).

Continue to crochet the body:
Rnd 11-13: ch 1, 30 sc, slst in first st [30], 3
rounds
Rnd 14: ch 1, (dec, 4 sc) x5, slst in first st
[25]
Rnd 15-20: ch 1, 25 sc, slst in first st, (fig 14)
[25], 6 rounds

Start to stuff the body.
Rnd 21: ch 1, (dec, 3 sc) x5, slst in first st
[20]
Rnd 22: ch 1, (dec, 2 sc) x5, slst in first st
[15]
Rnd 23: ch 1, (dec, 3 sc) x3, change the yarn
to beige, slst in first st [12]
Stuff the body firmly (fig 15).
Cut the cream yarn.

HEAD

Use beige (263) yarn.
Rnd 24: ch 1, FLO (use front loops): (inc, sc)
x6, (fig 16) [18]
Don’t join at the end with slst of this and
next rounds

Rnd 25: (2 sc, inc) x6 [24]
Rnd 26: (inc, 3 sc) x6 [30]
Rnd 27-34: sc around [30], 8 rounds
Rnd 35: (dec, 3 sc) x6 [24]
Rnd 36: (dec, 2 sc) x6 [18]
Start to stuf the head.
Rnd 37: (dec, sc) x6 [12]
Stuff the head firmly especially neck and
bottom.

How to close the end of the round: with a
darning needle, insert the remaining yarn
through all the front loops of the stitches on
the last round (fig 17). Pull all together at
once and hide the yarn inside of the body
(fig 18).

CAP

Use brown (437) yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring, slst in first st [6]
Rnd 2: ch 1, (inc) x6, slst in first st [12]
Rnd 3: ch 1, BLO: (inc, sc) x6, slst in first st
[18]
Rnd 4: ch 1, (2 sc, inc) x6, slst in first st [24]
Rnd 5: ch 1, (inc, 3 sc) x6, slst in first st [30]
Rnd 6: ch 1, BLO: (14 sc, inc) x2, slst in first
st [32]

Rnd 7-8: ch 1, 32 sc, slst in first st [32], 2
rounds
Rnd 9: ch 1, BLO: 32 sc, slst in first st [32]
Rnd 10-11: ch 1, 32 sc, slst in first st [32], 2
rounds
Rnd 12: ch 1, BLO: 32 sc, slst in first st [32]
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for sewing (fig 20).

HAIR

Use brown (437) yarn.
Lay the cap so that the top is away from
your face. Insert your hook in last front loop
of round 12 (fig 21). Pink up the yarn and
and pull it through. Ch 6, slst in this loop,
slst in next 2 loop (fig 22, 23). Repeat it 14
times more (fig 24). Ch 6, slst in this loop,
slst in last loop. Then crocht 3 chain to bring
the yarn to the next round 9 (fig 25).
In that way make the hair on round 9, 6 and
3 using the combination: (ch 6, slst in this
loop, slst in next 2 loop) (fig 26-28).

ARMS (make 2)

Use beige (263) yarn.
Rnd 1: 7 sc in magic ring [7]
Rnd 2-6: sc around [7], 5 rounds
Change the yarn to cream.
Rnd 7: FLO: (inc) x7 [14]
Rnd 8: sc around [14]
Change the yarn to yellow.
Rnd 9: sc around, (fig 29) [14]

Change the yarn to cream.
Rnd 10-11: sc around [14], 2 rounds
Rnd 12: (dec, 5 sc) x2 [12]
Rnd 13-14: sc around [12], 2 rounds
Rnd 15: (dec, 4 sc) x2 [10]
Rnd 16-17: sc around [10], 2 rounds
Rnd 18: (dec, 3 sc) x2 [8]
Rnd 19: sc around [8]
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for sewing (fig 30).
Don’t stuff the arms.

HALO

Use yellow (208) yarn.
Turn the yarn around the three fingers 7-8
times (fig 31). Then, pick up the yarn and
crochet sc around the loops of the circle as
show on photos 32-34.
Fasten off. Leave a tail for sewing.

WINGS (make 2)

Use white (106) yarn.
Ch 27. Make sure that your chains are not
twisted.
Row 1: start in second chain from hook: 26
sc, turn [26]
•don’t crochet a starting chain.
Row 2: 24 sc, turn [24]
Row 3: 22 sc, turn [22]
Row 4: 20 sc, turn [20]
Row 5: 18 sc, turn [18]
Row 6: 16 sc, turn [16]
Row 7: 14 sc, turn [14]
Row 8: 12 sc, turn [12]
Fasten off (fig 35)

Lay two pieces together and connect them
using the chain stitch. You should connect
and make a chain stitch on the edge of the
wing as shown on photos 36-40.
Fold the wing and wrap the yarn around few
times. Secure the tails and leave for sewing
(fig 41-42).

NECKLACE

Use the yellow (208) yarn.
Ch 3, start in second chain from hook: slst in
next 2 st.
Ch 4 start in second chain from hook: slst in
next 3 st.
Repeat it 10 times (fig 43-45).

ASSEMBLING

Sew the cap to the head (fig 46-48).

Use the beige yarn, embroider the eyes and
nose 2 st and 1 st long and 5 st between (fig
52-54).
Use the brown thread, embroider the eyes
under the beige and little eyelash (fig 55-
56).
