1 x 50g Shrimp
1 x 50g White
1 x 50g Teal
Black thread for details
2 x 7mm safety eye
Soft toy stuffing
Abbreviations:

Body
With ‘dove’ start at legs.
Rnd 1:Ch 2, work 6 dc into second ch from the hook. [6]
Rnd 2:Work 2 dc into each st around. [12]
Rnd 3:2 dc into first st, dc into next st, *2 dc in next st, dc into next st, repeat from * around. [18]
Sew up the centre of the ring to close the hole.
Rnd 4-12:Dc into each st around. Fasten off leaving a
yarn tail about 20cm long. [18]
Make another leg but do not fasten off. Ch 5.
Now join the two legs together as follows:
Rnd 13:Dc into first leg and into each of 18 st around. Ch 5,
dc into second leg and into each of 18 st around. [46]
Rnd 14:Dc into each of 5 ch sps. Dc around first leg,
dc into each of 5 ch sp, dc in next 9 dc. [37]
Sew up the middle then continue as follows:
Rnd 15-16:Dc into each st around. [46]
Rnd 17:
Dc into next 9 st, 2 dc into next 5 st, dc into next 18 st,
2 dc into next 5 st, dc into next 9 st [56]
Rnd 18-19:Dc into each st around. [56]
Rnd 20:Dc into next 11 st, 2 dc into next 6 st, dc into next 22 st,
2 dc into next 6 st, dc into next 11 st. [68]
Rnd 21-31:Dc into each st around. [68]
Add toy stuffing at this stage then continue crocheting as follows:
Rnd 32:Dc2tog, dc2tog, dc2tog, dc in next 22 st, dc2tog, dc2tog, dc2tog,
dc2tog, dc2tog, dc2tog, dc in next 22 st, dc2tog, dc2tog, dc2tog. [56]
Rnd 33-34:Dc into each st around. [56]
Rnd 35:*Dc2tog, dc in next 5 st repeat from * around. [48]
Rnd 36-37:Dc into each st around. [48]

Rnd 39-52:Dc into each st around. [40]
Add more toy stuffing. Attach two safety eyes onto the front of the body
approx. 3 rows down and then continue crocheting as follows:
Rnd 53:*Dc2tog, dc in next 3 st, repeat from * around. [32]
Rnd 54:*Dc2tog, dc in next 2 st, repeat from * around. [32]
Rnd 55:*Dc2tog, dc in next st, repeat from * around. [24]
Rnd 56:*Dc2tog, repeat from * around. Fasten off and sew up to close the hole.
Ears
Make 2 x ‘dove’ and 2 x ‘shrimp’
Rw1: Ch 7, dc into 2nd ch from hook and across. [6] Turn.
Rw 2:Ch 1, dc2tog, dc into next 2 dc, dc2tog. [4] Turn.
Rw 3:Ch 1, dc across. [4] Turn.
Rw 4:Ch 1, dc2tog, dc2tog. [2] Turn.
Rw 5:Ch 1, dc across. [2] Turn.
Rw 6:Ch1, dc2tog, fasten off.
Place one ‘dove’ and one ‘shrimp’ ear together (wrong sides facing) and dc around
the two side edges. Repeat with the other ear. Saw onto the top of the head.
Arms
Make 2 x ‘dove’
Rnd1: Ch 2, work 6 dc into second ch from the hook. [6]
Rnd 2:Work 2 dc into each st around. [12]
Rnd 3:2 dc into first st, dc into next st, *2 dc in next st,
dc into next st, repeat from * around. [18]
Rnd 4-18:Dc into each st around. [18]
Add toy stuffing and sew onto the side of the body. Repeat with
the other arm on the opposite side of the body.
Paws
Make 2 x ‘shrimp’
Rnd 1:Ch 2, work 6 dc into second ch from the hook. [6]
Rnd 2:Work 2 dc into each st around. [12]
Rnd 3:2 dc into first st, dc into next st, *2 dc in next st,
dc into next st, repeat from * around. [18]
Sew onto the end of the arm. Repeat with the other arm.
Face
Make 2 x ‘white’ cheeks
Rnd 1:Ch 2, work 6 dc into second ch from the hook. [6]
Rnd 2:Work 2 dc into each st around. [12]
Rnd 3:2 dc into first st, dc into next st, *2 dc in next st, dc into next st,
repeat from * around. [18]
Sew cheeks into position onto the front of the body. Using ‘black’ thread stitch two whiskers
onto each cheek. Using ‘shrimp’ stitch a nose into the centre of the face between each cheek.
Vest
‘Teal’ base / ’white’ fish
Ch 60. Join with a slst to form a ring. [60]
Rnd 1-2:Work dc into each ch sp around. Join with a slst to first st. Ch 1. [60]
Rnd 3-10:Continue using grid as follows:
1 square represents 1 dc. At the end of each rnd join with a slst to first st. Ch1 [60]
Rnd 11-12:Work dc into each ch sp around. Join with a slst to first st. Ch 1. [60]
Rnd 13:Dc into next 3 st, ch 8, dc into next 20 st, ch 8, dc into next 21 st. Join with a slst to
firt st. Ch 1. [60]
Rnd 14:Dc2tog, dc into each of 8 ch sps, dc2tog, dc into next 16 st, dc2tog, dc into each of 8
ch sps, dc2tog, dc into next 20 st. Join with a slst to first st. Ch 1. [56]
Rnd 15:Dc2tog, dc into next 6 st, dc2tog, dc into next 16 st, dc2tog, dc into next 6 st, dc2tog,

Rnd 16:Slst into each st around, join with a slst to first st, fasten off.
Edging:
